ARTHRITIS
Inflammation of one or more joints which causes stiffness and pain in the joint. Arthritis will typically worsen throughout the years. Arthritis is very common. Over 3 million people per year are diagnosed with this condition. Arthritis cannot be cured but treatment definitely helps. There are many different types of arthritis: steoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis to name a few.
Physical therapy helps with osteoarthritis as people with osteoarthritis often have stiff joints, largely because they avoid movements that tend to worsen the pain.
Osteoarthritis can be effectively managed so it doesn’t continue to progressively worsen. Other forms of arthritis such as gouty arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis are better managed by a medical doctor.
We have a full time medical doctor who specializes in treating these arthritic conditions and can help you effectively manage these conditions through routine blood work and proper medication.
